It wasn’t the finish we all dreamed about, but David Plummer’s performance and third-place finish at the Omaha trials in a best time of 52.98 was a testimonial to his hard work and a proud representation for the Minnetonka Swim Club.

Many of our families cheered David on in Omaha. More than 100 swimmers and families who were in Minneapolis gathered at The Nerdery to watch on Wednesday night. Minnetonka Patch editor Becky Glander joined us, and briefly covered David’s swim, adding "Come back to Minnetonka Patch for coverage and video of the Minnetonka Swim Club's reaction to their hero David Plummer's attempt." Kare 11’s Jana Shortal also reported as we cheered David on, and their on-air news story featured a few of our swimmers talking about the positive impact David has had on them as a coach and teammate.

But the Patch said it in a word: David is our hero!
