National and Minnesota Time Standards (2009—20012)
Typically, time standards are established every four years, adjusting to reflect the current speeds of swimmers. Predictably, swimmers need faster times every four years to meet the new standards.
For everything BUT its championship times (for the State Finals meets), Minnesota is now using national age group time standards, which has AAAA, AAA, AA, A, BB, and B times. Click here to see these standards.
