The Minnetonka Swim Club practices and competes in two pools located at each Minnetonka School District middle school, and we regularly use pool space at city-owned Williston Center for our youngest groups. 

Due to remodeling of Minnetonka Middle School West during the summer of 2013, we are renting space at the Aquajets facility and at Oak Point Elementary in Eden Prairie, MN.

Minnetonka Aquatics Center – Minnetonka Middle School East
17000 Lake Street Extension, Minnetonka

The Minnetonka Aquatics Center is a $6.1 million competitive and recreational swimming and diving facility. Opened in June 2009, it features:

• 25-yard Competition Pool
  • Seven-foot diving depth at starting end and 3.5-foot depth at turning-end – creating less water resistance.
  • State of the art filtration jet – many small water jets rather than fewer large jets produce less current in the pool.
  • Eight swim lanes with nine lane lines – a small, unused lane running along both sides of the pool reduces backsplash for swimmers in the outer lanes.
• A separate competition-standard diving well with two diving boards and extra starting blocks
• Bleacher seating for 370 and a swimmers’ balcony for 150
• Ultra-violet filtration to reduce chemical use and increase swimmer comfort
• Translucent panels to bring in filtered, natural light
• A state-of-the-art score board and timing system at the finishing end
• Handicap accessible locker rooms, restrooms and a lift to assist disabled persons in/out of the pool
• Concession area
• An entrance separate from the school to facilitate community use of the pool during the school day when it is not in use by physical education classes

The Minnetonka Aquatics Center was funded, in part, by the Minnetonka Anchor Club. No additional tax levies were required to pay for the facility.
